Gulf Jyoti

JSL has established a joint venture company in Dubai, viz. Gulf Jyoti International LLC (GJI). This venture was formed between Gulf Investment Corporation, Kuwait and our Company .

GJI has set-up a state-of-the-art transmission tower manufacturing facility at Dubai Investment Park on a land measuring 100,000 sq. meters with a plant capacity of 50,000 MT per annum. This manufacturing facilities is suitable for Fabrications ,Galvanising ,testing and supply of Transmission Line Towers, steel pipe structures for Oil and Gas projects , Microwave Towers, Wind Mill Towers, Railway Electrification Structures and Substation Structures etc. The plant consists of fully automated Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machines for fabrication and trained and experienced personnel for error-free manufacture of steel towers. It has environment friendly Galvanizing plant imported from Italy which is the most modern and fully automated plant anywhere in the world.

GJI’s business will contribute significant benefits to the GCC region, including creation of truly world-class global transmission player in the region. The business will aid critical power transmission infrastructure development in the region and will also promote industry and employment that will help GCC economy to be truly diversified in nature. GJI operates in the GCC and North African markets as an EPC operator. It has been executing various orders for the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, UAE, Hyundai Engineering Corporation, South Korea, Karhama, Qatar, San Diego Gas and Electricity, USA,TuneAsia.

Subsidiaries

Jyoti Africa

JSL has established a subsidiary company in South Africa, viz. Jyoti Structures Africa (Pty) Ltd. (JSA). This was a Joint Venture (JV) with M/s Redlex 300 (Proprietary) Limited, South Africa.

JSA has executed contracts from Nampower, Namibia for supply, delivery and construction of 650Kms HVDC 350 kV Transmission Line from Gerus to Zambezi and from Eskom Holdings Ltd, South Africa (ESKOM), for supply and construction of 100 Kms 765 kV Transmission.

JSA has been formed with an objective to have a permanent establishment in South Africa with the capability to explore business opportunities available in the southern African region for executing high voltage transmission lines, substations and distribution projects for the utilities in this region.

Jyoti Americas

Jyoti Americas LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Jyoti Structures Limited and has acquired a 20-acre site in Conroe Industrial Park North, about 40 miles north of Houston, TX. Construction of this facility has already started and commencement of operations is expected in the last quarter of 2011. It will house eleven of the fastest and most advanced CNC angle and plate punch and drill lines ensuring an annual capacity of about 54,000 tons.

The galvanizing plant will be the most modern and environment-friendly in the Americas, if not in the world. Material flow, from pickling through galvanizing and dulling, if required, will be computer controlled. This lattice tower shop will be the most advanced facility in the industry, and it will be on US soil, employing US labor.
